Final song
choice:
Instantly, I ruled out all of the
calmer songs as they just werent interesting enough. When looking at the
heavier songs, I cut it down to two. "Terminal" by Renard and "ShutEmDown"
by Celldweller. I chose these songs out of all of them as they are extremely up
beat and would be very fun to edit to.
They are both of similar length and
both get into the main part of the song quickly so I wouldnt have to make the
intro too long and drawn out. "Terminal" is slightly longer, but the
ending does go on for quite a while. In some cases, is may even be too fast
paced as it would be difficult to have the editing make sense if it going that
fast. "ShutEmDown" is slightly shorter and each beat has more space
in between. Also the into really gets you into the song before it even drops. I
could easily use the same narrative I would be using for "Terminal".
Also, when looking at both songs, I
need to take into account the style of the song and the general look of the
album / artist as I am going to be making a website and advert for them.
"Terminal" Album cover:
It is a tough choice as the songs
are so similar. They have a god intro, start with a mental chorus, have a calm
in the middle and get straight back into the main film. In the end though, I
have decided to go with "ShutEmDown" by Celldweller as it is a tab
bit slower and would be able to have a more understandable narrative to go
along with it. Also, the calm in the middle is slightly calmer in a way and
could give me a chance to slow the pace for longer. As for the all the other
songs, they would just be too boring.
